D1

Day 1: Arrive Chennai Airport- Code MAA

Arrice Chennai International airport & you will be received by our representative upon your arrival in Chennai airport and transfer to the hotel. Today you will be introduced to our Royal Enfield bikes & get some important instructions for riding in Tamilnadu, Pondicherry & Kerala and of course in Eastern & Western Ghat mountains. Overnight stay in Chennai.

Chennai to Mahabalipuram (70 Km/ 3 Hrs Ride)

Today you will be introduced to our legendary Royal Enfield motorcycle & necessary information will be given for riding in Southern India. We head to Mahabalipuram. On arrival check into the hotel. Evening sightseeing of Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram - This is a small, quiet seaside resort with a unique 7th-century Shore Temple, a lovely beach and some of the most beautiful rock-cut temples in the world. Situated on the shore of the Bay of Bengal, Mahabalipuram was already a famous seaport in the 1st century AD. This town was a workshop for temple building. Visit the seven pagoda-style Shore temples, lashed by the waves of the sea and the seven rathas or temple chariots. Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.

Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry (110 Km/ 3 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast we ride to Pondicherry, a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory, town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. A seaside promenade runs along the Bay of Bengal and passes several statues, including a 4m-high Gandhi Memorial.

Pandicherry to Yercaud (250 Km/7-8 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast we ride to a small hill station of Yercaud near the city of Salem in Tamilnadu. The route is really amazing & mostly we ride through rural areas of the TamilNadu where you see a totally different life from cities. Bull cart is very common to spot in rural areas & still lots of farmer used bull for the agriculture & farming. Yercaud is located at the height of 1500 meters. Evening free to explore Yercaud lake or soundings in the Yercaud. Overnight stay in Yercaud.

Yercaud to Kolli Hills (120 Km/ 4 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast we ride over the Kolli hills which have lots of hairpin bends & offer spectacular view of the valley. Later we stop for the chai & photos break at the local restaurant or just tea stall on roadside. Later we ride to Kolli hills for the night stay in a very peaceful area surrounded by forest.

Kolli Hills to Sagar Dam/Solaikadu (220 Km/ 5-6 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast we ride Through Eastern Ghats of Kolli hills & we enjoy 70 hair pin bends downwards & reach plain area of Kolli hills. This is really very good ride with less traffic on the roads. Later we stop for tea/coffee break & you get good opportunity to capture these spectacular hair pin beds. Later we ride to our destination for overnight stay.

Sagar Dam/Solaikadu to Kodaikanal (70 Km/ 2-3 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast we ride towards Kodaikanal on most scenic route of South India. Kodaikanal is a hill station in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It’s set in an area of granite cliffs, forested valleys, lakes, waterfalls and grassy hills. At 2,000 meters above sea level, the town centers around man-made, star-shaped Kodaikanal Lake, bordered by evergreen forest.

Kodaikanal to Munnar (170 Km/ 4-5 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast ride to Munnar. Munnar - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna. On arrival check into the hotel & relax. Later in the afternoon visit Tea gardens & explore Munnar town. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Munnar to Valparai (160 Km/ 4-5 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast we ride to Valparai. Valparai - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in Tamilnadu. Valparai was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna. On arrival check into the hotel & relax. Later in the afternoon visit Tea gardens & explore Valparai town. Overnight stay in Valparai.

Valparai to Ooty (230 Km/ 6-7 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast ride to Ooty, a well known hill station of Tamilnadu & called as “Queen of hill stations". We will take Kotagiri route which has less traffic & much more scenic where landscapes are magnificent. A chai break is prefect opportunity to chat with local people & taste local tea in Ooty area. Arrive in Ooty and check into the hotel. Overnight stay in Ooty.

Ooty Free day or sightseeing

After breakfast you have option to have some rest or explore Ooty market or we can have a ride around Ooty & explore other places as well. Evening free to explore Ooty market. Overnight stay in Ooty.

Ooty to Wayanad (120 Km/ 4 Hrs Ride)

Today we ride to Wayanad & take small roads passing through small villages & towns where you can see countryside of Southern India. On arrival in Wayanad, check into the hotel & relax. Later in the evening you can have short walk. Overnight stay in Resort of Wayanad.

Wayanad to Cheruthuruthy (160 Km/ 5-6 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast we ride to our destination called Cheruthuruthi which is located near river Bharathappuzha. Today we ride mainly plain area of the Malabar region in Kerala. We stop few places to experience countryside of Kerala. Overnight stay in Resort near River.

D14

Cheruthuruthy to Kochi (120 Km/ 3-4 Hrs Ride)

Today we ride to our final destination of Fort Kochi. Today we finally touch our western coast with the amazing view of the Arabian Sea. We can see & experience life of the fishermen near the coast. Today we enjoy our farewell dinner with lots of talk about the tour & ride. Overnight stay in Fort Kochi.

D15

Departure to home or extend to stay in Houseboat

After breakfast you can have your own time in Fort Kochi. If you have flight to home then we will arrange your transfer to airport.

Note: We highly recommend at least 1 Night in Houseboat to enjoy memorable & unique experience of Houseboat in the backwater of Alleppey. These houseboats are unique & represent local culture of the locals living near backwater.

Weather/Temperature

Our most Himalayan tours start and end in New Delhi where the temperature can go up to 38-42°C in July/August & September with humidity.

Temperature also varies in Himalayas & low altitude can get up to 30°C. However, they can fall below freezing at high altitudes in the mornings and during the nights.

Please keep in mind that you need to be reasonably fit to participate in our tours.

IMPORTANT: Applicants are advised against participating in any Himalayan tours if they suffer from severe asthma, muscular disorders, respiratory or heart disorders, or any medical precondition which might be detrimental to the health of the participant on a tour which involves spending nights in high altitudes.

Please consult a doctor before booking a Himalayan tour specially High Himalayas over average riding on 4000 meters altitude.

Food & beverages
When travelling through India it is advised to carry your own drinking water that has been obtained from a reliable source (RO/UV water filter) or always drink branded mineral/packaged water.

Water for drinking, brushing teeth or making ice should first be boiled or otherwise always use packed water.

Hygiene
Popular tourist restaurants and hotels will have clean facilities for you to use.

Most of the places we have communications in terms of internet (Wi-Fi), & calling facilities but still there are many places with no communications in high Himalayas in remote region but no worries talk to us we have good stories to tell you about riding, India & share yours with us.

When travelling to India you will need the following documents:
