Best Motorcycle Holidays
Home / Best Motorcycle HolidaysA motorcycle holiday is not the same as a motorcycle tour, and the difference matters. A tour is about the riding - the kilometres, the passes, the route milestones. A motorcycle holiday is about everything the bike unlocks: the landscapes, the culture, the food, the people, the moments of unexpected beauty. At Motorbike Tour India, we design our holidays to deliver both - exceptional riding on remarkable roads, wrapped in an experience that feels like a genuine break from ordinary life rather than an exercise in endurance.
What Makes India the Perfect Motorcycle Holiday Destination
India's density of experience per kilometre ridden is unmatched anywhere in the world. In a single day of riding in the Himalayas, you might have breakfast at a roadside stall where the cook speaks no English but produces the best paratha you have ever eaten, navigate a pass where snow borders the road even in July, stop at a thousand-year-old monastery where monks invite you in for butter tea, cross a high-altitude river on a bridge that requires more faith than engineering confidence, and camp under a sky so clear and dark that the Milky Way looks like someone dragged a brush of white paint across it. No other country packs this much lived experience into the space between dawn and dusk.
Our Himalayan Holiday Circuit
The Himalayan motorcycle holiday we offer at Motorbike Tour India is our most comprehensive product, built for riders who want to experience the full spectrum of what northern India offers. Beginning in Delhi with a day of bike familiarisation and city riding, the route moves north through Chandigarh into Himachal Pradesh, climbing to Shimla before heading into the Kinnaur Valley with its dramatic gorges and ancient wooden temples. From Kinnaur, the route crosses into Spiti Valley, continues to Manali, and either ends there or continues to Leh for those with additional time. This is a 14 to 18 day holiday that leaves riders with a complete and deeply layered picture of the Himalayan region.
Southern Comfort - The Kerala Motorcycle Holiday
For riders who prefer their holidays to combine natural beauty with excellent food, warm weather, and accommodation that goes beyond basic guesthouses, our Kerala motorcycle holiday is outstanding. The route runs from Kochi along the backwater coastline, climbs into the Munnar tea estates, crosses into Wayanad for its forest reserve roads, and finishes in either Kozhikode or descends to the Arabian Sea at Varkala. Accommodation is in carefully selected homestays and heritage properties. Kerala's food culture is extraordinary - the fish curries, the appam, the seafood on the coast - and we build meals into the itinerary rather than treating food as an afterthought.
The Rajasthan Motorcycle Holiday
Our Rajasthan holiday is perhaps our most visually dramatic offering for riders who prefer flat roads to mountain passes. The desert landscape, the extraordinary medieval architecture of Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer, and the living cultural traditions of the Rajput communities make every day of riding rich with imagery and story. We include camel safaris in the Thar Desert, fort visits with private guides, and evening cultural performances that bring the region's history to life. This is a motorcycle holiday that non-riding partners and family members have genuinely loved joining, which is something we are quite proud of.
A motorcycle holiday with Motorbike Tour India is designed to be the holiday you remember for the rest of your life. The bike is the vehicle - the experience is the destination.
